Litter Information
We selectively breed German Shorthaired Pointers for temperament, instinct, and conformation. We abide by the American Kennel Club and the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America's Ethical Breeding Standards.
All puppies are handled, socialized (see link below), loved, and started on house and crate training. www.rhoswencardigancorgis.com/7_Rules_Puppy_Socialization.pdf

Puppies are also introduced to live birds when they are old enough. All puppies will participate in early neurological stimulation (see link below). Their tails are docked, and dew claws are removed at 3 days old to breed standard specifications. Our puppies are placed in carefully screened homes. Our litters are bred for sound temperament, field, sport, and show performance. Companion puppies are only released on a Limited Registration (Spay/Neuter) contract.

Puppies are vet-checked and given the first series of vaccinations at 8 weeks old. Litters are evaluated at seven weeks of age for field and/or show performance potential. Potential puppy buyers will be provided with the results, and the breeder of the dam and the owner of the sire make their selections. Based on the evaluation results and considering the buyer's preference, pups are matched with their new homes. For optimum socialization, puppies can go home after eight weeks of age.
Homes without appropriate yards and fencing for a GSP will not be considered.
We will post pictures of the puppies when they are whelped and add photos as they grow. Please understand that puppies will NOT be promised prior to evaluation.
All puppies will go home with a puppy packet including a written health guarantee, feeding instructions, a litter pedigree with pictures of the sire, dam, and puppy pictures, a signed contract, AKC, NAVHDA, and GSPCA registration forms.

Potential puppy buyers will be notified when breeding takes place, and when pregnancy is confirmed. At that time, we will ask for a 50% puppy deposit that will serve as a reservation for a puppy. The cost of a pup will be $1000 (One Thousand Dollars). In the event that there are no puppies produced at the end of the pregnancy, we will fully refund all deposits. A refund of the deposit will not be given if the buyer changes their mind after the pregnancy is confirmed. A refund will be given if the buyer's requested gender is unavailable and the alternative gender is unacceptable. Therefore, please ensure you are committed to a puppy for about the next 13+ years.
